Build a Bear

I had some friends that said I was bordering on neglect, cause my kids have never been to Build a Bear. Well, we had a couple of gift cards (1 from a friend, who shall remain nameless, and 1 from Brownies) My son made a hunting dog (go figure) and Anna made a bunny with a very cool outfit. They had lots of fun. It was a lot more fun than I imagined. Now my kids are no longer so neglected!! Whew!

Boys will be boys..

Sunday, Jim took Taylor hunting for pheasants. They got 2, but have a brand new dog who couldn't find them. Oh, well! Duke got to go hunting both days and Jim says he does great at the ranch. I LOVE the bright orange!

Look how dirty my baby got!
AND........Girls will be girls...this is what Anna and I did!!!

So, what sounds more fun to you??

Kings Game

A friend of ours gave us tickets to the season opener last Tuesday. Jim and I went and had a blast. The Kings won, and were down at the half by 20 which made for an exciting game! Can you spot Jimmy's BFF?

How many wheels do you count?

Finally, my baby girl took off her training wheels. She hasn't rode her bike in a long time(she would rather scooter, its purple and her favorite color is pink....etc.) So the other night she said she wanted to try to ride her bike. Jim took off the training wheels and I took her to the park the next day. I only held her seat for a few seconds (cause I didn't want to run AND I wanted to take pictures) and she just rode away. She was very proud of herself. Now, she wants a new, pink bike! LOL

Karate Tournament

Last weekend Taylor was in a Karate Tournament. He moved up a division so it was much tougher. He got third in fighting. He loves Karate! He also thinks it is great that the trophy's he gets in Karate, he wins. (The other trophy's he has, he got for being on a team) This is Taylor with Sensei Kathy. She does a great job teaching the kids!
For the first time he did a Kata. (like a karate routine) He had just learned it a couple of weeks before the tournament. He was up against much more experienced kids and did not place, but he finished well. (I thought he looked great!

This was going to school on Halloween.

I just thought it was a good picture of them.

Halloween

This was downtown Trick or Treating. Taylor was a skull biker and Anna was a Bratz Cheerleader. We went to Steph's for yummy Chili boats then came home and did more trick or treating. Fun!

Brownies

Anna's Brownie troop took a tour of the state capitol. This is Arnold's Office!

Girls Day

My Mom and sister and I had a girls day at the spa. We went to Wine and Roses Inn and it was heavenly! I came out so relaxed!! We went to dinner then spent the night at my mom's house. I had the best time. Sometimes it is just nice to spend time with your family without kids!

Raingutter Regatta

Taylors boat wasn't very fast, but he sure had a lot of fun!!

Worlds Largest Corn Maze

One Sunday, a while back, we went to the corn maze. They have stairs and bridges so you can see above the maze. They give you a map and have the grids throughout the maze to help you find your way. I thought it was very cool and my kids loved it!

We Made It!! It took us about an hour. It was good family fun!

Cub Scouts

In Cub Scouts, Taylor earned his Bobcat badge. He is now a Wolf Cub and still loves it!

Soccer Season is here, and almost over!

Taylor has been playing really good. He usually scores a couple of goals a game. He loves it and works real hard. I am very proud of him. Here he is getting most valuable, his first game! He has one more game and the season is over. Then on to Basketball!

I can't believe my baby turned 6!

It was a couple of months ago...She went to Justice-Just for Girls. They got thier make up/ hair / nails done. She picked the princess party! Don't they look beautiful!

A long, long time ago we went camping!

We go camping every year with some friends. This year we went to New Brighton Beach in Capitola. It was beautiful! This was our campsite. Just past the trees was a beautiful view of the ocean. The kiddos. Devyn and Anna were born 3 days apart. So fun!
